Hi Paul - Diver944,

When we spoke at Ragley you mentioned a good porsche specialist in Northampton, what was the name of the firm?

Thanks, Chris.

Sorry to but in. I use Promax Motorsport who are based around Northampton, well I come off the M1 at Jnct 15 if that counts. Their number is01296 714009 and ask for either Andy or Roger, they are really good.

Simon Jackson

Yes I've used Promax and been more than happy with them but they recently moved just east of Buckingham which wasn't so easy for me to get to so last time I used RPM near Leighton Buzzard who I also heartily recommend. Other Porsche specialists near Northampton are PCT Cars at Coventry and Auto2000 in Bedford.

I travel from Leicester to use Promax, they do good work, very happy with everything they have done for me[:)]

I should add I've used ProMax for various tuning bits over the years and been very happy with the service from everyone involved too.

I'm actually based in Rugby, so im thinking Promax is the closest at 40 miles. I'm looking at a good specialist that will diagnose the couple of niggley problems I mentioned before. There all around 250 to 350 for service, it would be nice to have the confidence its had a good check over when entering corners flat out! (not me officer)

As mentioned, from Rugby - PCT in Coventry might be closest and I've been impressed with them.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about using PCT as I have heard a few bad things about them, I suppose the only thing maybe they are more used to working on the newer stuff.

Its booked in at RPM technik, its about 60 miles away but after having a chat with the guys it seemed the right place to take it.

I spent yesterday playing around with the motor and found the centre exhaust hanging bracket had broken causing the exhaust to shift and contact the tunnel. This causes a rumble through the body and gets worse during cornering, the guys at RPM are going to sort me out with the bracket and re-align during servicing - thank god it wasn't a wheel bearing after all!!!
