Novice "" Circuit experience day. APRIL 22nd - 11.30 - 17.00 - £35 per head.

ALL "" R 4 organised event.

The format for this event you will be given a couple of sighting laps following an instructor. You will then have an instructor in your car with you for a few laps to show you at what points to brake & turn for the corner then when to increase power.

You will be on the track for your allotted time with only one other car on the course at the same time. This other car will be on the opposite side of the circuit with almost one-minute separation. This is to abide with insurance requirements & prevent any incidents.

The site of this new car testing facility is at Blyton just north of Gainsborough (DN21 3PE) in Lincolnshire. This track is not registered for racing it is solely a testing facility & now offers the use of three alternative circuits within the complex, all finished to a high standard with newly laid tarmac.

Gavin Marshall our regional ex racing driver is happy to do the instruction free of charge. There will also be another driving instructor available to help.

This is a great opportunity to learn about your car & gain valuable handling & driving knowledge regarding your own car. You will only need to drive at a pace you feel comfortable with; it's a learning day!

This event is not restricted to Region R4. I am looking for thirty people who fancy the thrill without the pressure of driving alongside more experienced track-day drivers.

The cost has been negotiated to a very low amount at £35 per driver. This will include all instruction & at least two sessions on the track. Limited to thirty cars / drivers on first come basis.
On site for that day there will be catering facilities which will provide hot / cold snacks & beverages. There are viewing areas available for those who wish to spectate, all welcome.

If you fancy doing this event then please contact Gavin Marshall who is taking the bookings & will send a booking form by e "" mail. E-mail receipt will be sent.
All cheques made out to Porsche Club GB R4.

I have confirmed a few entries for R8 at the Blyton Park event, we all look forward to meeting with you and to (hopefully) a most enjoyable day. I will try to book good weather!

Gavin

Thanks for that Gavin

Sunshine will be good
Cheers

To those from R8, esecially Tom and Kerry, thanks for supporting our Blyton Park event. We have already entered into discussion with the Circuit owner as to holding another event. I am quite sure virtually everyone enjoyed the circuit and had an opportunity to get some of the toys working on the car, I certainly know Tom did! As the word gets around, I'm sure we will have no problem filling a future event.
Many thanks
Gavin

Hi Gavin
Many to you and Richard and the team for organising the day.
We both had a great time as did all our members from R8 including all the girls!
You even managed to keep the rain away - well for most of the time
Cheers
Tom and Kerry

After the support and feedback from our last event, R4 have organised a further Induction Day at Blyton Park on Fri 14 Sept. For further details take a look at R4's forum "Novice driver circuit induction day"
