NOVICE ONLY TRACK evening BRANDS

Are any R11 guys up for this on June 2nd? Des is working his socks off to try to arrange an evening for first timers, and I will certainly be going over from Colchester. I think there are about 20 names interested so far, and it could take another 20....
Hoping to find out more at the Ace next Saturday

Hi Jon,

As you may have read in the email newsletter, a number of people wanted to do a R11 only track day, although they were not all novices. At the last club night Steve Rance gave a talk on driving the 997 Cup car and said afterwards that he would be happy to come along and give instruction to R11 members at Brands. (I think that he meant for free!) He used to be an instructor there.

I will put a note about the novice day in the next newsletter - due out 1st week in March.

Best regards,

Greg

It should be an excellent evening and all credit to Des for pushing it.

I wonder how inexperienced you have to be to class as a Novice - I'd rather like to go myself. [8|]

I think you're still classed as a novice if you've done no more than two or three sessions. The point really is that true novices shouldn't be intimidated by more experienced trackers. If you're interested, add to Des's post on the R20 forum.
Hope to see you there
Jon

Cool ....You think having a race licence might be pushing it a bit though? [;)]
