Novice trackday @ Brands Hatch today

Hi all, just got back from an MSV novice trackday evening at Brands. Highly recommended if you fancy going to a track for the first time!

No problems at all with my old Lux (which I'd hope after all the the money I've spent on it!). The only thing I would say is that the standard suspension is ok but probably a bit on the soft side for track use (then again, Brands is pretty hard on a car).

I'll see if I can post some pics up over the next couple of days.

Glad to hear you had a good time.

All road cars will seem soft on the track as the suspension has been designed to put up with roads. Unless you have renewed your shocks these could also be very tired now.

I've had new shocks put on the front and the rears are only a few years (and about 5k miles) old. I think the next step is new and uprated bushes.

I'd recommend you get some of the thicker arb's from a Turbo, they don't cost much if you buy them used and they make a huge difference on a Lux.
