Hi Put my 98 996 hard top on the other day due to garage ext, and then cleaned the car. i then noticed there was a gap in the n/s window closed against the roof, is it an easy job to remove the door card and is it possible to adjust. BR Mark

I'm assuming your window is dropping and raising correctly when you lift the door handle. You don't actually need to take the door card off to adust the window height. There are two adjusters, one for front and one for back, which can be accessed by removing the oval plastic covers on the underside of the door. Here is a pic with the door card removed, which shows the arrangement.

Hi richard i tried this today with no joy, the height screw turns both ways but still doesn't adjust the height however i am only doing a few turns br mark [&:]

There is one height screw on the front track of the window, and another on the rear track. You may need to adjust both. From memory, they are 5mm or 6mm threads. This would mean that one full turn of the adjuster would be 0.8-1.0mm.
