Bit boring i know.........

Do you need to cut the wires to change the gasket or is there a split point buried somewhere? I cant see one.......

Regards

Did mine a few weeks ago
Purchased new lamps from Porsche at I think about £15 each and the wires just pull off. However they do become brittle with age/heat which is why I purchased new ones.

Nice Sunday morning job.......replaced defective holder cleaned up connectors etc...replaced festoon lamps with LED equivalent...appear much brighter.....need it to go dark to check fully !!! <slighty sad>

Settle down for the the Football.....nice Sunday....

I removed the LED bulbs.

Yes they were a more vivid white, but I'm not sure if the car looked a little 'Chav' with them in, so went back to the warm glow of a standard bulb.

Replaced mine too a few weeks ago (rubber gasket / boot still ok, spade connectors ok and without corrosion).

Far better and clearer light than the standard warm yellow glow of before. But I went for the 4 LED-type of bulb, not 6, so not chavvy at all.

Over the Xmas break will have to do the reversing lights to match up of course, then HIDs for front headlights[:)]

Done the HID fronts a while back.......much better and the visibility improved......

Yup, much better, m8 - win:win in all departments. Less current needed, more light generated, less heat produced, better visibility, more up-to-date ...[;)]
