Nurburgring 2019 - Possible R3 trip?

Hi everyone, some R3 members have been following my recent stag weekend trip to the Nurgburgring via Facebook. As a benefit of living and working in Brussels for a couple of years I've done the ring a few times as a day trip a few times but this was the 1st time where I've arranged a group rally (my best man is rubbish, he would say I'm a control freak ) and if I say so myself it turned out pretty successful. A couple of people mentioned last night that a similar event may be of interest to the club.

Greg/Deb, let me know if I'm treading on anyone's toes but if there is any interest within the region I'm happy to look at arrangements, or support someone arranging a long weekend for R3 in 2019.

 
Myself & a few R18 members are already in the process of planning a trip to the Nurburgring for the newish classic event which i believe will only be it's 3rd year in 2019.

http://www.nuerburgring.d...rburgring-classic.html I have done many events over at the Ring over the years including the Old Timer which was great but having also done Le-mans & Spa Classic this really does appeal to us. The standard itinerary for the trip would be to leave the port of Hull on the 12th of June over night to Zeebrugge to stay 4 nights Thursday to Monday within walking distance to the Ring & F1 track & arrive back in Hull on Tuesday the 18th of June. I can provide a lot more info, including accommodation, ferry times & crossing if anyone requires! Many thanks Paul

 
If this is in hand I'm happy to stand down.

Noted the 'classic' race event' as a resons fo the trip, I would try to ensure that any trip includes some access to the tourist days for those that want to take cars on the track. I'd also suggest (depending on the circuit being used) that you consider the Dorint or Lindner hotels on the GP circuits pit straight... when we were there last weekend we had grandstand views of the ALM racing on the combined circuit from our balcony in the Dorint.

No no, don't stand down chip in, more the merrier, I stayed in the Dorint & had breakfast on my balcony watching all sorts of racing round the circuit, please add any content you like!!!
