Nurburgring- 3.2 boxster

Hi i'm off to the Nurburgring in two weeks in my Boxster3.2. Any advice on what i should do or take with me to get the full 'Ring' experience.
I'm then off to Stuttgart for the factory tour, any advice on what routes to take from Norwich, Norfolk and places to look out for and stay etc.

I went to the track a few years ago and did a few laps. I would say the 1st thing you must do is to treat the track with great respect because it bites you when you least expect it. Take it very easy on the 1st lap because within a few bends you come to a nasty one which can take you by surprise. Let people overtake you, do your own thing. Watch for the motorbikes, they come behind you at incredible speeds. I would say by the 3rd lap you will have a better idea and enjoy it more. For safety reasons I did let my brakes cool nicely in the car park before going out again for another lap.

You will love it, it is simply great, wish I was going again.
Good luck.

Cheers Mark for the link, we stayed at one of the hotels listed and it was brilliant. The Ring was pretty good too, apart from all the snow.
We survived and the Boxster was amazing, 1600 miles in 5 days and it didn't miss a beat. It also returned 31mpg.

Cheers for the advice Salva. The ring was great it was snowing so speed wasn't an issue. We met a group in the Hotel afterwards and some poor guy had total'd his 944. You had to feel sorry for him but I guess he knew the risks as we did.

All in a great experience.
