Nurburgring

Went to the Nurburgring last week as part of ourhoneymoon and all I can say is it lived up to all my expectations and was amazing! The alternator packing up in the eiffel mountains at 10pm on the way wasn't the greatest but the rest of the trip was fantastic. Forgot my Bentley manual too but a garage let us use their tools etc and got us a new alternator. Managed to fix it in two days and by that time the weather had cleared up and it was perfect for a couple of laps. For those that are thinking about going, get their as soon as you can, it is really worth the visit. Aswell as being a great track to drive the whole place is a fantastic motorsport mecca, the scenery is great and you get to see quite a few development cars testing around their which is interesting. Seeing 4x4's being blasted down the 2km straight and being hurled from side to side, tyres squealing is also quite a sight. Anyway, I think you can tell how much I enjoyed myself! Cheers

Hi Kristian

I was at the 'ring last weekend for the first ever time and can echo what you say. Absolutely wonderful place, everthing i thought it would be and more!! Realy intimidated at first by the circuit but also everyone going past in everything from near full on 911 race cars to vauxhall nova's!!!
Got about dozen laps in and just starting to get a couple of sections flowing when time ran out. Brilliant place and amazing cars. Just got to now try and change my "trip of a lifetime" to "trip every year at least" with the missus!!

Cheers
