O/S Front Bottom Arm

I need to replace the drivers side bottom arm, i.e. the wishbone a-frame. Must have bent it sometime!!

My car is a 1987 M491 option 3.2 Carrera Supersport. One garage I spoke to said it had standard Carrera bottom arm, one said it was the Turbo arm, due to all the suspension being from the Turbo on a Supersport.

The only difference in these two parts is the anti roll bar bracket, the standard one is a closed loop and the Turbo bracket has 2No open sides.

I need to get this part ordered today, and the car is miles away so I cant just pop over there and have a look!!

Anyone got the answer??? Which one is it???

Try a telephone call to Bert Gear (a regular poster and owner of Berlyn Services - a parts company). Otherwise, I know Essential Simon has a Supersport so call Essential Styling and ask him to have a quick look.

Ask someone to send a digital photograph of the part via email. Once you can identify it and you have the ridiculous price of a new part there are many breakers you could get one from.

Cant post an image, as mentioned the car is miles away, no-one there with camera.

I have found both parts (new) for only £150 & vat! Incidently @ £407 & vat from an OPC!
Just need to know which one it is!

Will give Berlyn a call, try that!

P.S. And bert confirms 60 seconds later, that it is in fact a Turbo arm!!

Thanks folks..................................
