O2 Oh Dear...

Throwing inexplicable O2 sensor error codes on my 98 C2, bank 1-3 - sensor just changed, known to be good.

Some head scratching going at my indy - they've suggested it may be something to do with recent new exhaust, but it shouldn't be as I specifically went for an exhaust that shouldn't need a remap.

Also if it was that I would have thought it would affected both banks not just 1-3 (4-6 OK).

Any suggestions from the floor please?

Thanks

With any luck your indy will have a scope and can test the output from both the front and the rear lambda sensors. This will tell you if they are working and also the cat efficiency. They may need to do an oxygen storage test to prove the cats are or aren't triggering the code. But as Richard said what is the code?

Hi Richard, apologies for radio silence, it meltdown courtesy of Win 10 - nightmare!

Anyway, got it resolved thanks, the spacers fitted when exhaust was replaced had pushed the O2 sensors too far out of the gas stream to get an accurate reading - spacers removed, problem resolved!

Thamks though.
