Hi

Has anyone tried the Android Torque App for a '99 Boxster using OBD2 bluetooth adaptor ELM 327 ?

I am told that the Boxster 99 has a different version of OBD2 and will not work.

Cheers

not 100% but don't think there is differnet versions of obd2 they did changes from obd to obd2 but can't remember when or what year but any obd2 reader should be able to read obd

I can't say I know the answer to your question, but early UK Boxsters with mechanical throttle were not OBD2 compliant. That said, you could probably read engine sensor values through the OBD connector. Not being familiar with the app, I don't know what data it reads.

Thanks, I will try with a different adaptor and report back. The Torque App has been receiving many plaudits for being a cheap alternative to OPC fault reader.
