Occasional stutter

Hello
My CGT runs fine - about 99.9% of the time, but it will suddenly stutter. It is as if all cylinders fail to spark for one rev. More than one cylinder not firing.
Appears to be at random time, not associated with throttle position, car attitude or rain.

This has just started to happen over the weekend. I have been away a lot and so not run it much for the past 4 months - just MOT'ing it.

Before I start sending it to purdah - any suggestions?
Thanks

there is an ignition lead, either number 1 or 4, that runs quite close to the engine and can become brittle.

Have a looksie,

;)

+ 1 on the HT leads ..

both my NA 924's burnt out HT leads quite regularly, and there's a lot more heat under the bonnet with a CGT

Check the security of the multi plug where is connects to the DICT unit under the heater. This can vibrate loose and both Mr Ives and myself have experienced varying degrees of sudden loss of ignition. I can rememeber sailing along the m4 when the engine suddenly went soft on me then chimed back in. Sometimes it gets so bad than you think you have a mortal problem, pushing the plug back on puts it all right again.
