October Club Night and News Update

Region 21 members,

This is a brief update to remind you that our October Monthly meeting will be on Tuesday 2nd October at The Rose and Crown, Hawridge, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, HP5 2UG, 01494 758944. As usual we will start around 7.30pm but for those wanting to eat it is best to arrive earlier.

Next week we have Steve Dolby from Michelin coming to talk to us about Michelin and their products so please come and join us.

Royal Aircraft Museum Hendon Visit Sunday 14th October

We still have places left for this visit which is a very interesting museum.
Jason Melhuish is organising the visit and the details are below and if you would like to participate please email (jason@melhuish.biz) to confirm you will be attending.
We will be meeting at the Ace Cafe and then driving the short distance to Hendon for the visit. We have engaged a guide to give us the tour for which there will be a small £3 charge per person paid on the day for the guide service as we will have a dedicated person. The plan for the day is:
- Meet at Ace Cafe 9am-10am
- Plan to leave cafe by 10.15am and drive to Hendon "" around 20-30 mins
- Arrive Hendon 10.45-11.00am

November Club Night "" Tuesday November 6th

We will have Tania Mann who is racing in the 2012 Porsche Carrera Cup GB series coming to talk to us about her racing experiences.

New year dinner "" Saturday 12th January, 2013

We have a good number of people already booked so please don't delay if you would like to join us. We will be holding this again at The Noke Hotel, Watford Road, St Albans. This was our venue last year and was a great evening at reasonable cost, so we have booked it again for Saturday 13th January 2013. The details are below so please book early so we can finalise numbers.

2013 Chiltern Region WOTY (Weekend of the Year)


For 2013 we have planned a weekend away. The location we have selected is run by a well known Porsche Club member and has been used by other Porsche groups before. The location is good for many local activities. The details are below:

Our R21 club night venue location details:

The Rose & Crown is located only a few minutes from the A41 & M25 in the quaint village of Hawridge, which is situated 3 miles from Chesham and 4 miles from Tring and Berkhamsted. The pub's website contact area www.roseandcrownhawridge.co.uk/contact-us/ has detailed information on how to find it.
For those using the good old Ordnance Survey maps, use map 165 and look at map reference 165-949 062 to find the Rose & Crown.
