October PP - AKA Dave Wilkinson Tribute Magazine

Blimey, flicked through this months PP last night and everywhere I turned I was presented with a Trophy yellow 964.

Does anyone know what the record is for appearances in a single magazine?[:D]

I'm beginning to feel quite embarassed!! It was a pure coincidence that the "Repaint" article appeared at the same time as the Concours report since they were written at least two months apart.

The Contents page photo was an absolute shock - albeit a nice one.

I was very confused over the appearance of the Concours report under the 964 Register Report since I don't think Ken Chambers knew anything about it. I have a feeling the piece was written by Sue Roberts and I'm guessing it should have appeared under the R10 Region Report. Mike and Sue might know better.

I'll try to make a point of keeping quiet over the coming months in an attempt to redress the balance!!

Regards

Dave

I'm equally confused - thought you'de "stolen with pride" [;)] from Sue's Concours write-up - which has been "bumped" [] to next month. I will need to have words........[8|]

Guys,

If this was a regional article, I suspect that as it is a significant piece, it was moved to its own slot in the PP. Remember, this was one of the changes in the "450 word" setup. The actual 450 word limit has been removed but this method would still followed by the Editor (as he suggested the changes)

Mike,

Actually, on investigation, it seems that I might be at fault here [:)]. I was sure that the photo was one of mine and, looking back at my "Sent e-mails" it seems that I had written the piece and sent it, with photo, to Mike Rees - and promptly forgot all about it. I can't believe I just forgot about it and I'm so embarrased that I would have looked for someone else to "blame"!! Look no further Mike - mia culpa!!!

Regards

Dave
