How big is it? First thought was front bumper rubber, but the texture make it look small for that, and I wouldn't think it would balance on edge like that!

It's only about 1 inch long, but it was on the boot floor carpet so can't be from anywhere else on the car if it is indeed from the car at all ?

Saw similar recently (don't remember exactly where) but it looks like a spacer/shim for the hatch? Seems to me I saw it close to glass - a windshield perhaps?

Not a piece I recognise.

Bruce - are you thinking about the blocks that support the windscreen?

Probably - but I think it was an older 911 that I saw something similar. Given the "shim" like shape of the bottom - it just looks like it should be centering something ...

As it isn't symmetrical it would suggest there are more than one. If it is part of the car (which I doubt) there will be another one, unless that has fallen off as well.

I am pretty certain it is the foot off a case.

It is an interior trim piece looking at the plastic grain, it is ringing a bell as it appears familiar but i cannot think of it straight of the top of my head..........................is there a prize ? [:D]

I have probably seen every component from our cars stored on various shelves and but have honestly never seen such a part before... [8|]

is there a prize

Yes. A suitcase/golf bag/sports bag with a missing foot....[;)]

LOL

If it was a Porsche part it would almost certainly have had a part number included in the moulding.

Strangely I can remember trying to replace such a thing in the past. It was a pain as it wouldn't push home into its receiving slot so I pulled it from behind with some pliers...which pulled the tag off.

I wish I could remember what I was doing at the time.
