Oettles - where?!

Hi there,

I recetly purchased some Oettle Mufflers off of Ebay as recommended by some people here at PCGB (as opposed to the PSEs), but getting them fitted is another story. I got quoted £220 for fitment from Paramount Performance, which seems a hell of a lot for a couple of hours labour. Does anybody have any ideas on where else I can get them fitted?

Cheers

Paul

Any competent garage you trust would be able to fit them.
I got mine fitted for around £80 and that included some welding and some angle grinding of rusty bits.

And liberal applications of wd40 daily for a few days before fitment will make life a lot easier wherever you take it.

Thanks for the quick response.

That's quite a slice off of £220! Since you're in London and so am I, is there any chance of dropping me a PM on which garage that was?

Cheers

I WD40ed everything daily for a week then used a Dreml to cut off the bolts on the cat to muffler clamping sleeve and replacing both sides took me just under 2 hours with me lying on my back and being meticulous. I got 2 new clamping sleeves and clamps for the tips (£50 in total). All the other bolts and nuts came off with no trouble. Gives you an idea what is involved.

Very odd. They removed mine and re-fit them (for a track day) so they certainly can fit them.
Try GT One in Chertsy, they fit one for someone else on PCGB 01932 569944
