I'm looking at a "R" plated 993 targa (registered 3/8/98! on log book) which according to Porsche GB is an import and not recorded on their system. Does anyone know if / why Porsche officially imported cars to UK during this period, and why registration mark is "R" rather than "S"? Does it raise any questions which need answering?
 
Check when the car was built ? Maybe the Reg No came from that date, ie before 01/08/1998. Also check that it is C16, full UK spec.
