Oil change £39, oil and filter

Yes it true, kwik fit will change the oil on boxster for £ 39, including oil and filter, just been in there so true, book on line
 
I can't say how they carry out this work nowadays, but they certainly used to pump the old oil up out of the engine using a pump rather than draining it from below. As a result all of the debris in the bottom of the engine would be left, rather than drained away.

IIRC that's why it's (1) cheap and (2) to be avoided...
 
No sump plug removed, oil mobile 1, no one more cynical than me, but it true, pay more to fill up with petrol,
Costco sell 5ltrs oil for £26 we need 9 ltrs so that is £52, plus £8 filter, euro car parts £60 spent, sump washer 60p, assuming you have torque socket,,
Flat ground, inclination, somewhere to dump old oil, and time, bit of a no brained
