Oil Change 993

I have a 1997 C4S 993, and would like to know just how difficult it would be if I wanted to change the oil and filters on my own. Also, can it be done on a lift, or must one use jack stands on the ground...thanks!

I've just done mine quite easily on the garage floor. I jacked the right hand side up (used two jack stands as a safety net of course - never, never trust a jack), but I didn't have to raise the whole rear end and stack it on axle stands. You need it flat anyway to get all the oil out. Not too bad a job really, but allow 2 hours if you're doing it for the first time.

Yeh,always do my own,the first time is quite a long affair.
The longest parts is running the car up to full temp, making sure the valves open down to the front cooler,to get the correct level on the dash (and dipstick).
Dont know where your based, but if you are near Cheshunt,Herts and i am free i can give you a hand if your not happy.
