Oil change time

Here we go an oil thread

Been running Shell HX7 for the last 2000 miles and not very happy with the hot oil pressure, looking at VR1 as an option but that's a mineral oil.

Should I stick to synthetic now and find something else with a decent ZDDP content ?

Opinions welcome

Hi Martin I use Millers oil it's excellent and also use it in our trackday 924S hope you are recovering well rgds Ken 968 RS

I currently have Millers oil in mine, put in by the previous owner although its CFS 5W-40NT
It seems to perform well enough & has good oil pressure but I thought it may have been a bit on the thin side. It's certainly on the expensive side at nearly £60 for 5Ltrs!!!

contacted millers oils and the reply was as follows:-

Hello Martin
One of our colleagues has got one of these and he uses our Classic Sport 20w/50 and this has got over 1250ppm of ZDDP in.

Kind Regards
Nigel.
