Oil Change

A turbo engine deserves regular (6k interval) Oil changes IMO. Also an aircooled engine.

However, given that my 944T uses a litre of oil every 1200 miles, and holds about 5 litres, the average age/mileage of the Oil is (find calculator[:D]) 3000miles.

Why do I need to ever change the Oil?

I do change the Oil, but what I'm taking out looks fine to me.........
