oil cooler fan

hi all should i be able to here the oil cooler fan running when on and is there some way of making the fan run to make shore its working in laymans terms please am not into electrics ive pulled the fuse r2 and its good and ive pulled out the relay r4 but can not tell if its good regards ray [8|]

It comes on when the temp gauge gets to the 3/4 level and you should be able to feel it blowing hot air out through the arch.

If you want to check the fan, take out the front part of the wheel arch liner and then unclip the connector to the thermostat, the fan should then run all the time.

I tested mine at the weekend and it was fine.
