oil from Asda

A mate of mine called in today with a present for my new car[:D], he's not the first, I think they're all after a drive (fat chance). Nice thought though. He'd been to Asda and noticed the special offer on Mobile 1 oil (I think someone has already flagged this on the forum).
He's got me some Mobile 1 ESP 5W 30 which I believe is a synthetic (which is good) but I'm not sure about the 5W 30 bit or, come to that, what ESP means (apart from it being one of my super powers) Can someone enlighten me please[:)] and is it ok for my Boxster S?
Cheers
JJ

The recommended grades are for your car are:

SAE 0W-40
SAE 5W-40
SAE 5W-50

Mobil 1 ESP 0W-40 is on the list of approved oils but not 5W-30

Plus... I'd be surprised if you need any oil.

Most never need any between services.

It was a nice thought though! [:D]
