My 964 Tiptronic oil light comes on when hot on tickover but goes out again after a few seconds when the rpm is increased it does say in the hand book this is normal.
I've been advised to put a heavier oil say a 20/40 or 20/50 as the semi synthetic which was put in by my local specialist may be to thin when hot could also be a lazy oil pressure switch hasany body similar experinces

I'm not sure it's going to Autowerke in Norwich on Monday to have a pressure a oil pressure switch fitted he changed the oil last to a semi synthetic so I'll try to gleam what grade it is i'm confident no damage is being done
