I'm just changing mine and glad I decided to. I think!
You'll need to investigate all the hoses whilst you are there. I thought I was going to change just the two straight pipes which run horizontally from the rear of the tank towards the engine. Unfortunately running behind those two is the long hose from Oil filter to Thermostat housing, where on mine I discovered the crimped securing ring connecting the flexi to steel pipe has corroded badly and is breaking up. Not wishing to risk a failure here, I've decided to replace that pipe as well.
Again unfortunately, to get this pipe out, the oil tank has to be moved out of the way. To achieve this you have to disconnect the lower two hoses to the thermostat, as well as the dipstick tube, three upper hoses and the rubber tank mountings.
Needless to say being in the wheel throw area, all the jubilee clips, the dipstick tube connection and oil tank mounting fixings were rusted solid. Even the ones beneath the tank now covered in oil must have rusted beforehand and were a pig to undo.
The dipstick pipe connector is still being sprayed with plusgas daily as are the two 36mm unts securing the oil filter and thermostat pipe ends. Play resumes next weekend.
I have costed the parts that I need, which are in the region of £250.00 plus VAT. That's without the oil and filter, Theres little point in draining the oil from the tank without changing it all.
If you are replacing the two lower hoses to the thermostat housing you will need the part number of the 'stat to determine which hoses you require.
Sorry to paint such a gloomy picture, but at least you are aware of how bad it could be.

I work in hydraulics so I kind of borrowed some parts for mine from work, but for those of you outside the field.. find a local hydraulics shop (there will be loads) and purchase new jubilee clips from them.. they should be able to get you decent stainless steel ones for a couple of quid each and they will last for ever.. we use ours at work on machines with a life of about 25,000hrs and thats a life of working in the mud and scum and never getting washed []
the little horizontal feed hoses can be repalced without moving the oil tank; you need to lubricate the inside of the hoses and clean the tubes well then you can just about push the hoses all the way onto the tubes and then pull them back onto the stubby bits of the oil tank (if that makes any sense?!)
if you want some pictures of what I went through (and the mess a catastrophic hose failure can make!) then my thread should be on here still somewhere..
