Oil Leak Help!!

Hi guys, i've recently developed an oil leak, after cleaning it up best we could and having a look we had identified the area that its coming from, as per most of the other oil leak posts on here, its the offside of the engine towards the front. Below the area of the oil filter.

As you can see in the pic the new oil is coming from somewhere over the lip and running down, it does not appear to be coming from the large nut. Are there any gaskets or anything thats prone to go in this area? Any ideas would be a great help!!
