oil leak

My Boxster S 2003 just passed MOT. Informed by tester slight oil leak coming from top of engine, slight cover of oil on middle coil pack of driver's side. Could it be camshaft cover gasket? Tried to open engine compartment lid having read in Porsche drivers manual which differs from the Bently manual states "remove retaining spring clips from convertible top compartment lid arms at left and right sides". Does this mean the two clips on the right hand side and the left hand side - four clips in all?
Information in Bently manual -'Using an assistant, slide compartment cover up and forward until bore in arm aligns with bore in hinge bracket. Install drift through bores at left and right sides.'
There are no drips of oil on garage floor.
Thank you in anticipation

To open the engine compartment, follow the instructions in your owners manual. Section 03.25 in the bentley book goes too far for simple removal of the engine cover. You don't need to remove the compartment lid (clamshell) to get the engine cover off.
