Just been doing a service on the 997, oil, & filter, air filter, gearbox flush, front diff output seals and diff flush, front coolant pipes etc , and when I removed the air box noticed a lot of oily muck behind the crank pulley.
Question is should I be worried about my Front seal, or is it a sign the car is not getting driven enough ? ( only managed 1000 miles last year !!??)
Not overly wet, definitely no drips, more of muck clinging to a mist of oil vapour if that makes sense.
Also my plenum boots, AOS pipe connections and secondary AOS are also covered in similar muck, could my AOS be at fault ?
Should I change it anyway as a preventative measure?
I look forward to your wisdom
