Oil level check same as 993?

I've knocked together this page about checking the oil on a 993, I'll add pictures when I can be bothered.

Am I right in assuming that exactly the same is true of checking the 964? If so I'll modify the page, it's getting loads of web hits already from 993 dudes and so I guess it's a common question for 964'ers.

It IS a common problem - for newcomers to the breed at least - and I'm sure there are many, many new owners who have overfilled the oil to their long term detriment. The difficulty is getting people to recognise that there IS a problem, because only then will they search out a solution.

Your description is concise and to the point and accurate. Let's hope the uninitiated will find it!!!

Thanks Dave, I've now updated the page.

It started out as an answer to the "is my oil level gauge broken?" question, which naturally led to an explanation of how to check the oil! Just hope folks find it before overfilling.
