Oil Level sender in Oil Tank

My oil level gauge is on the blink and although I know we can't rely on it I want to replace the sender in the oil tank.

Looks fairly straightforward when I next change the oil. Anyone done this on their car and can offer advice ?

I was going to change mine but decided not to when I followed the cable route from the sender to the Connection Box by the oil filler. It was going in for a service anyway so it made more sence to have it done by them, that way it would be checked when the new oil was added.
