OIL LINE REPLACEMENT

Among other things I'm looking at replacing an oil line that is rather corroded under the engine on my 1983 SC, struggling to find the right part number so I can order one.

It is the rigid line that goes from the nearside of the crankcase (crossing over the air injection system that I have just removed) around the rear of the engine and attaches to the rubber flexi section which then travels behind the off side rear wheel inside the archway, any ideas what this part would be called or a part number.

Thanks

Pelican call it the engine block oil pressure line, most people I know call it the 'hard line'. They do it for $90 and give the part number as 930.107.741.11.M20. Ring Porsche and ask them how much, might not be as dear as you think. It's the same as 3.2. This pic below is the one we are talking about isn't it?

Fair play Nick, you are doing some good work on that lovely car of yours. Well done buddy [;)]

Yes thats the one John, thanks. I just love getting my hands dirty and I am enjoying getting her into the condition she deserves by doing as much myself as possible, thats what owning an older 911 is all about.

The SC forum is excellent as well, its like an extension of my own tool kit.

Cheers

Hi Nick,
An additional source for your parts might also be Mittelmotor in Germany. They have a very good on-line catalogue, prices are good and the staff speak good technical English. They stock a high percentage of OE stuff as well as pattern parts and used items. Well recommended, I've spent loads with them
Regards
Ian

Bert is a club member and has supplied me no end of stuff.

I've used Bert a couple of times, went on the site this morning and ordered one, not as expensive as I thought, along with a few other bits and bobs, cheers
