Hi Any one fitted a Oil pressure gauge to 986 3.2 , would it work via a sender or have to be oil feed from pressure switch. Also a matching volt meter would be helpful. Sorted out my Reversing light switch for Tiptronic gearbox, New switch on side of gearbox £230.00 !!!!!! Only £35.0 for Manual. Thanks for any advice.

Fitting a 996 instrument cluster, and wiring up the oil pressure sensor, has been done many times. There is a good DIY on boxa.net. You probably need to register to access it, but it is free.

I've always considered the lack of an oil pressure gauge in my 986's to be a serious omission in such a serious sports car!

Good evening all, Spent a few days fitting a Oil Pressure Gauge and Volt meter in place of CD storage box , bit tight fitting Tee piece and Sender but all working well, also fiddled a cable through rear bumper an fitted reversing camera to my Sat Nav. Going to have a go at converting Tiptronic buttons to paddles using a manual steering wheel next , should be fun. Happy New Year all.
