Help needed guys,on the way back from Goodwood today the oil pressure guage went ballistic ,first it spiked to the 5+ position then the warning light came on and then went into an erratic mode ,so i stopped let the car cool for an hour and then restarted it and it sounded fine ,the temp and levels were fine not to hot so I drove 20 miles home with no other problems ,I am guessing its the oil pressure sensor

Any one else had this happen

I think you're right to guess it's the sensor, especially as my pressure light did a similar thing on the way to Silverstone last week and apparently it has been known. Mine turned out to be oil level related, I topped her up a bit and all is well now.

Best get it checked though.

Agreed, gets the old ticker going!
