Oil Pressure in my C2

Guys (&Gals), at anything above 2400rpm my oil pressure is at 4.9bar, even once the water and oil temps are sitting where they should be (middle "ish" of the gauges). I have checked with my OPC, they checked the system and tell me all is ok.
It does seem strange to me to have full scale deflection on any gauge, and I would normally expect the correct running range would be around 50-75% of the gauge potential. I have read in the drivers manual (yes I did eventually find time to stop driving around and read the manual!!) that at 5000rpm the oil pressure should be, I think, 4bar, so I am still concerned. The needle never goes above the 5bar top, but always sits a needle under 5bar. As soon as the revs come down below 2400rpm then the pressure drops and rises in line with the rpm.
Any comments?
Thanks.

I think this is quite normal. Even after prolonged driving at 80mph on French toll roads my oil pressure reads 5 when revs exceed 3000 rpm.

Once up to temp and speed (over 2,5oorp) mine is typically between 4 - 5 bar as everyone else.
