Oil pressure.

Hi,
I have a 1989 930 Turbo. Its a fantastic car.

Last week I had it serviced and took the opportunity to get the engine out and change anything that looked like it was wearing,Camtune at Byfleet did a really great job.

I am not sure if it is just because I am looking and never noticed it before, but though I get a good 4 oil pressure by 3k rev, at idle (800) i drop down to around 1.5. I could have sworn that previously it was 3 min up to 4 at 3K.

So - is my now noticed measure what I should expect and I just didn't pay any attention previously - or would you expect a 3bar min?

I agree with John fully.

Like you I also have a 1989 turbo and they are just fabulous machines. Mine runs at about 4.5/5 at 3k and 1.5 at tickover. Remember the guages can be a little out and if in doubt get it checked.
