Oil pressure

The oil pressure in my 993 4S is close to 5 bars when the engine is warm. The oil was changed about 4000 miles ago... Can anyone advise if this is normal? The owners manual says it should be around 3.5. What could be a problem?

Hi, yes the manual does not seem to match with experience on this forum. I asked same question a while back. Mine is only any where near being down at 3.5 once very warm and then idling for a while. The rest of the time it's up at 5

Thank you guys for the answers.
When motor is idling the pressure is somewhere around 3 bars...
I use Mobil 1 0W40 full synthetic, so I assume the oil should not be the reason... My first thought was that maybe it was something wrong with the filters, but looking at your answers I start to think that I might be OK...

Mine's always been 3 bar at idle and 5 bar when motoring (above 1500 rpm). That's been with both Mobil 1 0w40 and Havoline 5w40.
