Oil Pump Needed

Hi Guys

Further to engine rebuild thread, turns out mine has damaged gears sadly. At £546 plus vat from OPC I would rather a good 2nd hand unit if anyone has one.

The ever reliable Martin tells me this pump is the same across the 944/968 range, and the current part number is 944 107 014 11. Not seeing a whole lot on ebay, one rather sorry looking example.

Does anybody have a known decent unit they could sell me?

Cheers

It's a good question but I don't have the answer Pete! Possibly something got in there when my engine was destroying its bores, either way glad its been spotted and will get sorted.

Sure it’s not just that the oil pump drive sleeve has a big wear mark in it? Had to replace mine and they were NLA at the time from Porsche but RosePassion had them in stock - circa £50-60 IIRC although there are two types so get the right one if it is this.

Haven't seen it Dave. Alastair phoned to say it wasn't in great shape and the gears have been hit by something and we should either replace the gears or the whole pump if couldn't get gears. Gears are NLA from Porsche now. Anyway I've got it sorted now so we move one!

Are you're removing the main oil gallery plugs, to check there's no debris there?

The whole bottom end is being completely stripped down, and all parts checked, cleaned and replaced if need be, so I would assume so Blade. The engineers seem very thorough.

Cheers
