I've got my car going in for it's oil service next week....

Is it worth getting your own oil and supplying it to the dealership? If so what oil should I be buying and how much of it would I need??

Thanks.

Yes unless you want Porsche to charge you about £120 for it !!!

They will let you supply your own, you need about 8 or 9 litres from memory, of anything fully synthetic but idealy Mobil 1

9 litres including that in the filter.

I had a part used 4 litre can so had the necessary 8.5 litres with a bit to spare. Left it in the luggage compartment (it just fits [;)]) and mentioned it to the chap at the desk.

So I saved about 10% of the extended warranty cost [&:]
