Oil Use

Having my Macan S for just under 6 months now and covered around 6600 miles, I was a little alarmed to have the oil warning light come on this morning, no problem but what kind of mileages do you get from yours before top up. Due to not travelling many miles during lockdown I never gave it a thought to check it.
Have to admit it is a great car and seriously thought of using it on our regional Northern Ireland tour (postponed till 2021 now) as it is such a good drive and so versatile with excellent road holding.

Maybe a combination of a new car just run in and being laid up for weeks has brought the oil light up. Suggest you top up to a safe minimum level, run the motor to normal temperature, check again and top up to normal level. Ours uses very little oil between services but then again, it's diesel so not so high revving. [:D]

We had one of the first petrol Macan S models (October 2014 - now sold), never had to top-up between services.

Have quite a stock of Mobil 0w-40 in the garage these days. [:D]

Topped it up with just over .5 ltr in 2 small stints and now shows in the green and correct. Book says oil use up to .8 ltr per 1000KM.
