Okay where does this go?

I have just changed my battery and after i removed all the lining and spare wheel and pulled the battery out i found that a clear tube coming from the right hand side inner wing (above the battery) was loose inside the compartment. It had a 90 degree plug on it and it looks like it is part of the washing jet system but there is nothing t plug it into inside the compartment.

Camera not working so could not take photos. Will try and borrow camer to get one.

There is not a similar tube coming out of the left inner wing.

Can somebody identify this for me please and where should it go or is it a spare for an option that my car does not have.

I think its the breather for the battery, and it fits through the nearside wing.
 
Yep

thats it i should have realised as the 944 has one linked to a bottle / reservoir.
