OLDER CARS TO BE BANNED!!!

Dear All,

Just discovered that there is a consultation/proposal at UK/EU level to restrict and/or ban the use of older (10 years plus) cars. There is already a petition to the British Prime Minister to reject such proposals. Might I suggest that many of us (not just in the 928 section) might be affected and therefore might consider signing? Just when I was beginning to enjoy my car.....[&o]

Done.

Alarming, but not surprising.

Hope the classic car 'industry' gets organised to fight this effectively.

The EU are full of shit. Nobody will be stopping me from driving my 911 ;-)

I signed the petition last week, but as classic cars are a multi-million euro business within the EU affecting manufacturers, expert service providers, even auction houses, all with a large degree of goodwill from the general public not to mention tax revenue , I can`t see this getting anywhere. But as our government seems determined to turn us all into criminals one way or the other, one cannot be too careful!
regards,
jr.

So let me see, my 14 year old 944 is going to pollute less that an empty, nine year old double decker bus. Or are HGV and PSV exempt?
