ominous noise.....

ok, bought a new battery, struggled getting out theold one so put on foot into the front boot and lifted it out. when i had my weight in there (i'm not overweight!) there was a cracknoise, bit like when you break a plastic pint pot....just the one and not too loud.

any ideas if i have broken anything or if there is something in there to break i can't see? (stupid i know but i couldn't do anything else about it)
 
Might be the plastic clips that hold the trim to the side of the front boot (they are circular and fitted up quite high. It might be they just came loose - if one is broken they are cheap enought to replace.
Hope it's a cheap fix for you!
