only 36k???

It Looks like Silver Rose(?) Colour seen on the 944..But mine is Zermatt silver and on some photo's looks a goldish colour..
It does have a nice 924 plate though!

it looks a nice car with a nice plate, like i said im very interested but the milage bugs me, 136,000 is ok but cant believe it to be only 36???

Note the reply to the question asking if he had full service history to back up the 36K claim.
"Only got ten years history .... ."
So ..... he is risking a very disgruntled buyer if it turns out to be 136,000.

Have you also seen the 924S http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140193172422&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004

advertised as having " .... done only 1,000 miles approx on new reconditioned 944 engine (have receipts)."

My neighbour emailed the seller and asked if 'reconditioned' meant things like piston rings, bearing shells etc had been renewed .... or if the 'receipts' showed tensioners had been replaced with the belts ?

The reply ? "I don't know, you'll have to come and look".

Ref. the '36K' 924S

I see it has sold for £1500.
It occurred to me that ten servicing stickers in the under-bonnet photo might indicate more than 36,000 miles .......... ?

could have done every 3.6k miles!!! it makes me sad that people can advertise such bull!!! if you were new to this world you would think that you were bidding on a concours model and not something that was ready 4 the brerakers!! why lie???? 136,000 is low really but to mamke out it is only 36k is total crap, i sold a genuine 96k guards red for only 1500 last yesr with over 21 porsche services in her book, a gold one with a shady past for that!!! a mate or 2 did not bid 4 him eh???????/

Given that eBay has become such a huge market place I wonder sometimes if Trading Standards have 'wised up' enough to have a member of staff who can seek out any rogue traders in their area ?
