Currently fitting new front wheel bearings as well as a bit of housekeeping around the general area. I decided to fit anti vibration plates as the front brakes are very squeely. In doing so I used a brake piston spreader to make sure there was enough room either side of the disk. Whilst winding this in I suddenly heard dripping, looked under the car and....yep...brake fluid.
The top of the reservoir is soaking so it looks like that's the source and it's a clean up and bleed job when it's all done. I assume the same for the clutch too.
But am I likely to have done any damage though? Are the any seals I should consider replacing as a precautionary measure? Brakes are really not my area of knowledge but I have a vacuum bleeding kit and plenty of enthisiam so I guess I shoud be fine!!
My guess is that if any seals are damaged it won't bleed properly either.
Any ideas/views welcome!
Hope everyone is keeping well.
