Getting the beast serviced before SPA thought I would give the OPC a call the quote was bad enough with no older car discount! Then I had to describe the model and spec to the SERVICE MANAGER is it 2 or 4 wheel drive is it a Tiptronic!

Anyway booked with GT ONE..........[;)]

I have a Porsche Race mechanic only an hour from Spa . If you guys need track support then I can organise it. I got pads changed and seat welded when I was there last week. Very handy to have at the track. Has also fixed RSR drive shaft and clutch during track days.

If there is 20 RS owners or so going it would not cost much to have him therenfor piece of mind.

Des, serious question for once, What the hell are they going to do for £1500 !!!

Oil, Air, and Fuel filters, and maybe plugs ....................

You'll find that even within the OPC's there's big variances in prices charged.....I'd knock our local boys on the head only they're quite handy being across the frog from work.

There is a fair bit more to it than that but not worth £1500! For instance, tappets need to be done, plugs certainly. I know that 7.5 hours is the time booked by GT One. Funily enough, fuel filter isn't included although I had it done as an extra.

As an aside, I was well pleased with the quality of service from GT One. They went over the car with a fine tooth comb and found some silly little things which, after gaining concent, they sorted. This ranged from minor surface rust to the spare wheel well to welding the cat heat shield mounting bracket and rebolting said item. They even replaced plastic undertray nuts (total price 45p).

Top company, top technicians and reasonable prices. Cannot say fairer than that[:)]

What do GT-One charge for a 12,000 mile service? Is there much variation between the independents?

I think it's about £450. The reason I am unsure is that I provided the oil and also had other work done as well. However, I when deciding who to go to I didn't feel there was a lot of price difference between the real specialists and I went to the company i thought I could trust most. And I was very happy!

would also happily recommend GT One. they did all the work on my old C4, 968 and wifes Boxster, and now do everything on the RS.
