OPC 24,000 service... details?

Hi all,

Sorry its been a while, and to top it off im posting for a little info... can someone help?

Im just curious whats as to whats actually included in the 24,000 OPC service?

Major maintenance

Note!

• Not valid for USA!
• The engine oil and oil filter must be changed every 10,000 km (6,000 mls) on vehicles which are operated in countries with leaded fuel (country coding M 150 in the control unit)
• The term 'checking' includes all necessary subsequent work such as adjusting, readjusting, correcting and topping up, but does not include repairing, replacing and reconditioning parts or assemblies!
• The maintenance item> Replacing spark plugs < depends on the model year. Please observe the chapter "Additional maintenance"
• The maintenance item> Throttle actuation: Check smooth operation, check full throttle position with the Tester < omitted as of model year 2002.

Major maintenance after
40,000, 80,000, 120,000, 160,000 km etc./
24,000, 48,000, 72,000, 96,000 mis, etc.

1. Diagnosis system: read out fault memory
2. Polyrib belt: checking condition
3. Changing the engine oil and oil filter
4. Replacing spark plugs
5. Vehicle underside and engine compartment: visual inspection for leaks (oils and fluids) and abrasion (lines and hoses)
6. Coolant hoses: check condition; radiators and air inlets at front: visual inspection for external contamination and blockage;
7. Coolant: check the level and antifreeze protection
8. Air cleaner: replace filter element
9. Particle filter: replace filter element
10. Fuel system: visual inspection for damage, routing and secure fit of line connections
11. Power steering: checking the fluid level
12. Parking brake: checking the free play of the parking brake lever
13. Brake system: visual inspection of the brake pads and brake discs for wear
14. Brake hoses and lines: visual inspection for damage, routing and corrosion. checking the brake fluid level
15. Clutch: play or pedal end position is to be checked
16. Throttle actuation: check smooth operation, check the full throttle position with the Tester
17. Steering gear: visual inspection of bellows for damage, check screw connections of running gear adjustment facility, front and rear, for secure fit
18. Axle joints: check play, visual inspection of dust bellows for damage, check screw connections of running gear adjustment facility, front and rear, for secure fit
19. Drive shafts: perform a visual inspection of the boots for leaks and damage
20. Exhaust system: visual inspection for leaks and damage, check suspension
21. Tires and spare wheel (collapsible wheel): checking condition and tyre pressure
22. Check the door, lid locks and safety hooks of the front lid to ensure that they are secure and functioning properly
23. Seat belts: check operation and condition
24. Vehicle lighting: check function; all headlights: check adjustment; horn: check operation
25. Windscreen wiper jwasher system, headlight washer: check fluid level and nozzle settings, pay attention to antifreeze protection in the winter months.
26. Electrical equipment, warning and indicator lights: check operation
27. Test drive: Remote control, front seats, foot and parking brakes (also actuation travel), engine, clutch, steering, transmission, ParkAssist, automatic speed control, TC/PSM switch, heating, air-conditioning system and instruments: Check operation.
28. Oils, fluids: visual inspection for leaks

FOR £538.00

So all that you mentioned above is included (inc plugs) in that quoted price for a 24K service?

Hi Chris - I'm doing OK, cheers.

For a MY01 Additional Items are:
Spark Plug change at 48000 or 4 years
Airbag check and ancillary unit mounts after 4, 8 and 10 years, and then every 2 years
Brake fluid change every 2 years
Fuel Filter change at 48000
Polyrib Belt change at 48000
Transmission oil change at 96000
Front diff oil change (C4) at 96000
Check Roll over protection system (Cab) every 2 years
Condition report for long life guarantee every 2 years

I assume you are charged for all these additional items.
