I'm going and I'm booked in for a workshop check - spoke with Derek Hill at service reception just before Xmas . Please add my name to the list . Thanks Barry

It's in my diary, so hope to be there to socialise, though I'm not too bothered about getting the car on the ramp.

I am on the reserve list, if I was selected for a check, when would I know, as I probably not take a porsche, if I am not having a check done?

I guess you have not yet had a reply regarding final numbers for the car checks. I had an email today from Marcus at OPC Edinburgh, confirming the test drives are likely to be for around 20 minutes, so I am considering not going at all, as a four hour round trip for only a 20 minute test drive, is not really a worth while trip, but I will reserve judgement until you can confirm final numbers for the car checks.

Thank you for your email.
Can I please ask you to transfer my test drive to someone else, as I will not be attending this event, as it is not worth a four hour round trip, for a 20 minute test drive.
I would ask to be placed first on the list for this type of event next time it is available, whether, Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Thanks
Vaughn

Vaughn, if it's not worth your while this time why would you want to be first on the list for the same event next time??
The event is so much more than test driving. It's a social event to catch up and talk cars with other club members. You can talk to the techs if you need some advice and also have a good look around the workshop. Even if you are not driving you can still go as a passenger on the test drives.

Archie
Thanks for your info.
I do have some experience of what happens, as I have been the secretary for a car club in the past, also arranged some events, etc.
I have decided not to attend this event for various reasons, but would welcome the opportunity of going to a future event of the same ilk.
