OPC fixed price service costs

Hi Richard, hope you enjoyed your break. I have just started a thread on R 27 re what's included in the above which Porsche Dublin are now offering.
Is there an actual breakdown available anywhere of what is and is not included within the fixed price menu. I have been told the spark plug replacement is not included in the major 996 service for instance even though it is required!
For instance are the wear sensors included in brake pad replacement menu cost?
I read the thread re Club discounts at OPCs and people appear to be paying for service cost and consumables as seperate items though as I understand it fixed price service menu has been in place for some time on your side of the Irish sea!

There is a price list here ... http://opc.cmwinteractive.com/servicepricing911996.asp?opc=23

Items such as polyrib belt, spark plugs etc are mileage based, rather than a specific service and will also depend on year of manufacture of car, hence why they are priced separately. e.g. service goes minor, major, minor etc (assuming you do more than 9k per annum) whereas spark plugs are 48,000 (> year 2000). So, you would need spark plugs on 4th service if you do 12,000 / annum or after 3 years if you do 16,000 per annum etc)

Hope that helps.

Re the splitting, I got a good discount on my minor service with PCGB discount - it was under the 'fixed' price scheme, but the items were individually prices (and discounted) on the bill

Hi Colm. Very relaxing thanks - I'm now facing a mountain of work - it's great to be back. [:(]

The service schedules can be found here: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=230826 which might be of use. I can't say I know what's included in such items as the fixed price brake pad replacement, but if they didn't include wear sensors and anti-squeal shims it would be outrageous at the price they charge. If you can find an independent for that sort of work you will be much better off.
