I was in the OPC in Leeds at the weekend and they told me that their next project car is a 928. Customers may have seen it outside the spares department recently looking a little sorry for itself.

I fell sure that they will do a stunning job on it as they did on their project 930 which they have just sold.

Latest update is that the colour will be cerise. Is that common parlance for Rubystone Red? [:)]

With an approximate selling price of around £50k when fully restored according to sales chap. Sure they'll do a nice job, but that feels excessive?

Colin, if you thinks a Jensen Interceptor fully restored is fetching £100,000 then £50,000 for a fully restored 928 is a bargain , 928's are grossly undervalued at the moment IMHO and with 944's going up and up the 928 can only go one way , most people seem to forget that this was a super car and was easily as capable as a Ferrari or Maserati of the same period and even today a very fast GT car and its value should reflect that, anyway just my opinion happy to be corrected

A very good point I think. Is there anyway of following the restoration on this?

Completely different colour. Rubystone Red is the "˜purple-y' (just my description) colour found on 964RS.

You mean pink [:D]. That 928 is not rubystone, but definitely has a pink tone to it. Certainly was in an interesting choice by the original owner. Leeds have been asking about what colour the car should end up, and I think. Ost feed back was keep it original..

The 928 has moved from the car park - so I presume that the restoration has started.

Yes Sutton Coldfield are doing a 928 but the more rarer one the GT
over the other models as the GT was only made in Manual over Auto.

Good Luck to Leeds & Sutton Coldfield and the best Dealership wins.

Yours sincerely Kevin. [:)]
